"Attractive looking motel enhanced by colourful flowers. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room on ground floor was very comfortable. There are plenty of eating places nearby with nearby Sophies Cafe great for breakfasts. The motel is about 15 minutes walk from City Centre (if you don't get lost by trying to get there by going thru Hagley Park!). Our room towards back was very quiet.
A definite recommendation.

Recycling
We are commited to recycling of paper, plastic bottles, glass bottles, cardboard, tin cans. In every kitchen in every unit there is a self explanatory sticker on the rubbish bin that encourages guests to recycle their rubbish on a daily basis. We encourage our guests to use the recycling bins outside in the complex as well.
Chemical Free Cleaning with Enjo
At the Best Western Camelot Motor Lodge we use the "Enjo" product range for all our cleaning, which allows us to reduce chemical use by up to 95% on site. We are proud to use this innovative technology to restrict chemicals entering our local sewage system. This cleaning initiative provides a safer and cleaner environment for our guests and reduces our water consumption. The cloths in the "Enjo" range contain microscopically small fibres that are designed to reach in to the smallest pores of all room surfaces to clean away dirt and bacteria. Developed from 15 years of research, these cloths allow us to clean faster, safer, more effectively and with less impact on the environment than traditional methods.
"Enjo" has ISO and HACCP accreditation and has been accepted onto the Sensitive Choice Programme by the Asthma & Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand for asthma and allergy sufferers.
Bulk Buying
Wherever possible we buy in bulk, for items such as hand soap, body wash, shampoo & conditioner and we use pump dispensers in the shower and pump pots at the hand basin. By using pump dispensers we reduce the need for individually wrapped soaps and bottles of shampoo etc.
Staff Involvement
All our staff have been provided with a copy of our commitment to the environment and are aware of how we at the Best Western Camelot Motor Lodge want to try to the best of our ability to reduce the impact of the functioning of our motel on the environment.
